One lucky resident will get the chance to switch on the Christmas lights and give their Christmas an extra £500 of spending sparkle.

Nemesis will be helping one local resident turn on the Christmas lightsOne person from the crowds will join street dance group Nemesis on stage to flick the switch for the lights and to top it off they will win £500 to spend in the Queensmere Observatory shops.

Street dance group Nemesis won the hearts of the British public when they starred in Britain's Got Talent. The group reached the final eight.

Local rock band !daft! will also be taking to the stage to get the crowds going with their high energy performances of tracks from the last four decades.

There will also be performances from the Creative Academy dancers and from characters from the West Wing's pantomime, Robin Hood.

The entertainment begins at 3.30pm with the switch on and fireworks at 6pm.
